We don't get hired
to save on accounting fees.
We get hired to grow net wealth.

Dulin PC is a small advisory practice for owners in HVAC, skilled trades, manufacturing, and real estate. We pair Big 4-trained tax and accounting depth with the operator's view of cash, taxes, and exit value — and we only take on engagements where the math works for you.

Our two principles

How we decide whether to work with you — and whether you should work with us.

Most accounting firms bill for hours. We build engagements around outcomes. Two simple rules govern every conversation we have, every proposal we send, and every recommendation we make.

01 / Principle

Value Over Cost.

Our clients do not hire us to save on accounting fees. They hire us to increase net wealth — through better tax structure, cleaner financials, sharper cash management, and a business that's worth more when they decide to sell.

02 / Principle

Mutual Benefit.

If our work cannot materially exceed our fees in value created, we will not recommend that you hire us. Full stop. The math has to work for you, or the engagement doesn't start.

The approach

A small practice, run on the operator's clock.

We work with a deliberately short list of clients. That's how we keep our work close to the business, and how we make sure every recommendation we put in front of you has been pressure-tested against your actual numbers.

01 / DISCOVER

Understand the business, not just the books.

We start with the levers that move your net worth: pricing, capacity, working capital, owner comp, and what a buyer will eventually pay for the company.

02 / QUANTIFY

Put a number on the opportunity.

Before we propose anything, we estimate the dollar impact — on this year's tax bill, on cash, and on enterprise value at exit. If the number isn't there, we say so.

03 / EXECUTE

Do the work, with you in the loop.

Tax structure, accounting cleanup, financial reporting, fractional CFO support — delivered with the rigor of a Big 4 background and the responsiveness of a single principal.

04 / COMPOUND

Turn the engagement into a system.

The goal isn't a one-time fix. It's a business that compounds — cleaner financials every quarter, less surprise, more options, and a more valuable company by the time you're ready to sell.

What we do

Three engagements. One operating standard.

We take on a narrow range of work, all in service of the same outcome: a business that produces more cash today and is worth materially more tomorrow.

01 / SERVICE

Tax planning & compliance.

Year-round tax strategy for the owner and the business — entity structure, owner compensation, depreciation strategy, and the boring filings done right and on time.

02 / SERVICE

Fractional CFO.

An executive finance function for owner-operators — cash management, KPI reporting, banking and capital, and the financial discipline a growing trades business needs to scale without breaking.

03 / SERVICE

Exit & M&A readiness.

For owners eyeing a sale in 1–5 years: clean financials, defensible add-backs, working-capital strategy, and the kind of diligence package that protects your number when a buyer arrives.

The team

A small bench, deep on technical experience.

Two CPAs, decades in finance and accounting, and a deliberately narrow book of clients. You work directly with the people whose names are on the door — not a rotating cast of associates.

Christopher Dulin, CPA

"After twenty years in public accounting and the CFO chair, I've seen what actually moves the needle for owner-operators — and what's just billable hours. Dulin PC exists to do only the first kind of work."

Chris built his foundation at Deloitte, then spent more than a decade running and co-running CPA firms before stepping into the CFO seat at a mid-sized oil & gas services firm, where he oversaw global accounting teams and the firm's royalty distributions.

Today he applies that mix — Big 4 technical depth, owner-operator instincts, and the discipline of a public-company finance function — to a deliberately small book of clients.
